
Escaped NSCN-K fighter from Khonsa jail arrested in Tirap
Itanagar: A staunch militant of the Niki Sumi faction of the NSCN-K, Rocksen Homchha, who escaped from the Khonsa jail in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district, has been arrested by security forces.
Security forces arrested an absconding revolutionist from Bogapani area of โโArunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district on Monday (April 03) morning.
An AK 47 rifle has also been recovered from the possession of Rocksen Homchha, who was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh.
An operation led by Tirap SP Kardak Riba was launched by a joint team comprising members of the CRPF, IRBN and Arunachal Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (STF) to nab the man in Tarp. Based on the information received from DC Hento Karga, it can be caught.
It may be noted that on March 27, two NSCN-K militants – Rocksen Homchha and Tipu Kitnya escaped from Khonsa jail in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, killing a police constable and seriously injuring another security official. .
Tirap police in Arunachal Pradesh launched a massive manhunt to nab the two militants who escaped.
Meanwhile, another NSCN-K militant – Tipu Kitnya, who escaped from Arunachal Pradesh’s Khonas Jail along with Rocksen Homchha – is still absconding.
