Eastern Naga officers, state govt to meet over crucial FNT issue

Kohima: Amid the call for election boycott in Eastern Nagaland, the government has convened a crucial meeting with the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers Association and other senior State Government officials.

The main agenda of the meeting is ‘Frontier Nagaland Territory’ issue for which ENPO announced boycott of any election participation including Lok Sabha elections 2024.

A total of 23 senior officials and seven office bearers of the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers Association (ENGOA) have been requested to attend the meeting in the Conference Hall of Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima, informed a notification from the Home Department.

The meeting is scheduled amid the resolution by the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) to abstain from participation in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election over the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue.
