Easter in Meghalaya celebrated with religious fervour
Shillong: Christian-dominated Meghalaya celebrated Easter with religious fervor on Sunday.
The Roman Catholic Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Church of God and the Baptist Church, among other Christian denominations, organized special programs such as sunrise services, Easter Sunday sermons and choirs to mark the day.
Easter is celebrated three days after Good Friday to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Congratulating the people of the state on the occasion, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said, “May miracles always come to us and may hope strengthen our faith.” Happy Easter everyone.”
