Rangia (Assam): Doctor dies after Pushed from 7th floor of AIIMS Guwahati .A doctor was killed after falling from the seventh floor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) under construction in Kamrup district of Assam on Wednesday, police said.

Police said construction workers heard loud noises and rushed to the scene, where they found the doctor covered in blood, police said.
The doctor, identified as Phalgu Pratim Das, was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the doctor fell from the seventh floor of the building. Whether it was an accident or a suicide, we will find out after an investigation, “said an official.

Although the AIIMS has not yet been officially opened to the public, classes have begun at the institute, located at Changsari, about 25.5 km from Guwahati.
