Itanagar: Talks are on to start direct flights between Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh and Imphal in Manipur soon.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said this while addressing the Manipur Sungai Festival in Imphal on Wednesday.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said he discussed with his Manipur counterpart Brain Singh about starting direct flights between Itanagar and Imphal.
“Recently a new airport was inaugurated at Itanagar.
I discussed with Manipur Chief Minister Baran Singh on starting direct flights between Itanagar and Imphal,” the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister said.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu asserted that economic prosperity in the Northeast can be achieved through tourism, which will be boosted by better connectivity.
Participating in Manipur Sungai Festival, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that “Singai Festival unites not only Manipur but the entire Northeast”.
