Deposed Myanmar civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi sent to solitary confinement

Ousted Myanmar non military personnel pioneer Aung San Suu Kyi has been shipped off isolation in a jail.

Preceding this, Aung San Suu Kyi was detained at home at an undisclosed area in Myanmar capital.

Aung San Suu Kyi will be in isolation at Nay Pyi Taw – the capital of Myanmar.

77-year-old Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi was captured in February 2021 following a tactical upset.

The tactical upset last year toppled the equitably chosen Aung San Suu Kyi’s administration.

Strikingly, Aung San Suu Kyi has been condemned to a 11-year prison term.

Notwithstanding, the well known Myanmar pioneer has denied the charges squeezed against her naming them as “politically-spurred”.

Following the request for sending her to isolation, Aung San Suu Kyi will presently go to preliminary hearings at an exceptional court set up inside the jail.

An assertion from the Myanmar’s tactical system affirmed her transition to jail, saying it was as per criminal regulations in Myanmar.

“How the situation is playing out is the Myanmar junta moving towards a substantially more reformatory stage, towards Aung San Suu Kyi,” Phil Robertson, representative Asia chief for Human Rights Watch, told AFP.
