Churachandpur: Amid ongoing unrest in Manipur state, a fresh protest broke out in Churachandpur district on July 13.
Demonstrators, mainly from the Kuki community, protested in the Tuibuong area demanding a separate administration.
It may be mentioned here that an Aizawl-based group comprising members of the Chin, Kuki, Mizo and Zomi tribes staged a protest in Aizawl on July 12 against the ongoing communal violence in Manipur.
The protest was organized by ZORO (Zo Reunification Organisation). Protesters also burnt posters of Manipur CM N Biren Singh and PM Modi.
The purpose of the protest is to condemn the ongoing communal violence in Manipur and the central government’s lack of action.
At the rally, PR Sangkaswia ZORO president condemned the attacks on Zoro people and PM Modi’s silence, saying that the head of the family takes care of his children’s affairs, but it seems the Indian government doesn’t care about Zo People.
