Death of Tamil TT player in Meghalaya: Condolences to Vishwa Deenadayalan

Vishwa Deenadayalan, an 18-year-old table tennis player from Tamil Nadu, lost his life in a road accident in Shillong on Sunday when his taxi collided with a 12-wheeled trailer coming from the opposite direction.

Union Minister for Law and Order and Arunachal Pradesh MP Kiran Rijiju and Meghalaya Chief Minister Konrad Sangma have posted tweets condoling the family of the deceased youth.

Kiran Rijijuwrote in her tweet. Deenadayalan Vishwa, a young table tennis player from Tamil Nadu, died in an accident in Re-bhoi, Meghalaya while on his way to Shillong to participate in the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championships. My deepest condolences to his family. RIP ”

Meghalaya Chief Minister Konrad Sangma also posted a tweet saying, “Saddened to learn that Tamil Nadu peddler Deenadayalan Vishwa was on her way to Shillong to participate in the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championships in Ri Bhoidistrict. Died after an accident. Our state. ”

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has also offered condolences to the family of the deceased. He wrote: “We are shocked to hear of the shocking and untimely death of our young, promising table tennis player Vishwa Deenadayalan. He was a legend in making and it hurts me that he left us so soon. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and the sports community. ”

Indian Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thackeray wrote, “It is heartbreaking to learn that Tamil Nadu peddler, Deenadayalan Vishwa died in an accident in Ri Bhoi district. He participated in the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championship. Condolences to his family and friends, “the tweet said.

The incident took place on Sunday when Vishwa and three other Tamil Nadu tennis players were traveling in a tourist taxi from Guwahati airport to Shillong to participate in the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championships.

The other injured have been identified as Ramesh Santosh Kumar, Abhinash Prasannaji Srinivasan and Kishore Kumar, who sustained serious injuries but doctors have declared their condition stable.

The accident happened when a 12-wheeled trailer coming from the opposite direction passed through a road divider and collided with a taxi in Shangbangla just after the Emily check post and fell into a ditch.

The taxi driver died on the spot while Vishwa was taken to hospital. Later, the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences declared the table tennis player dead.

Vishwa, a promising athlete with several national ranking titles and international medals, was to represent India in the WTT Youth Contender to be held in Linz, Austria from April 27.
