CPIM, Cong instigated violence during Polling CM Saha accuses

Agartala: Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha on Friday alleged that the Congress and CPI-M, a terror outfit, had tried to instigate BJP workers to create trouble during polling hours.

Addressing a post-election press conference at the Chief Minister’s residence, Chief Minister Dr. Saha claimed that there is a trend of change in the state after the formation of this government, which is clearly visible in the elections.
It was the first election in the history of Tripura that was held without any violence or rigging. It was a peaceful election. In the last 35 years of CPIM and Congress they have used scientific rigging to increase voting turnout. The elections were conducted peacefully without any rigging except for some misguided incidents,” claimed the Chief Minister.
Claiming that the people of the state wanted peace and tranquility, the CM said that the CPIM and Congress had tried to disturb the peace during polling.
BJP will form the government again and I am sure of victory. In the last election of 2018, we won 36 seats. We will win more than 36 seats in this election. We have also given five seats to our alliance partner IPFT and hope for the best. And of course, the alliance of CPIM and Congress has helped us”, the CM said adding that Tipra Motha is not a factor for the saffron party.
Asked why some BJP workers were allegedly attacked, the CM said, “Congress and CPIM, which is a terrorist party, have tried to incite BJP workers. And they want to stay in power by using terrorism. We have instructed our workers not to react to provocations. Our workers were attacked. The police are working and we do not take the law into our hands. Want to take because we are a party with differences even Tipra Motha follows the culture of CPIM and Congress.
