Conrad Sangma called for democratic participation of youth in nation building.
Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) chief Konrad K Sangma on Wednesday called for democratic participation of youth in nation building.
Apart from NPP MLAs and MDCs, youth from different parts of the state participated in it.
Sangma said youth participation was important not only for the political party but also for the wider purpose of serving the society.
On the opposition’s allegation that the NPP had betrayed the people on the Assam-Meghalaya border agreement, he said that if that had happened, people would not have joined the NPP except for other parties.
The Chief Minister said that the list of villages was prepared in 2011 during the rule of Mukul Sangma’s and if some villages were left out, it was because of Mukul Sangma government.
