Congress said democracy is in danger under BJP regime

Agartala: The Tripura Pradesh Congress (TPC) joined a nationwide ‘maun Satyagraha’ (silent protest) in Agartala on July 12 to protest the disqualification of party leader Rahul Gandhi from Parliament.
Speaking about the issue, PCC chief Asish Kumar Saha said that on the direction of AICC, the Pradesh Congress Committee in Tripura is also observing Maun Satyagraha.
“Former AICC President Rahul Gandhi was illegally and wrongly disqualified from Parliament. There is a deep conspiracy against Gandhi by the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
We are doing Maun Satyagraha across the country against this. Rahul Gandhi is speaking against truth, non-violence, good governance, unemployment, high cost of essential commodities and corruption of the government and for this the central government and PM Modi are disqualifying him from parliament through fear and illegal means. . “, said Saha.
Speaking on the issue, former minister and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman claimed that democracy is under threat.
Our leader Rahul Gandhi is constantly fighting to save the country’s democracy. Because the people of the country are in danger. Democracy is in danger. No one can talk, no one can protest or you will be put behind bars.
Rahul Gandhi has raised some questions for the people of the country in the Parliament and for this a conspiracy was hatched against him, and he lost his post as a Member of Parliament. We are holding this protest across the state to save democracy,” Sudip said.
