COCOMI: EGI biased reports on Manipur backed by Indian Army

Imphal: The Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) on September 12 alleged that the Indian Army had influenced the EGI to publish a highly biased and baseless fact-finding report on the Manipur violence by the Editors Guild of India (EGI).
In a press communique, COCOMI said – “The recent revelation regarding their controversial fact-finding report on the Editors Guild of India (EGI) issue now reveals even more serious conspiracies that have been lurking for so long has advanced the Manipur dispute.”
Justifying its stand, COCOMI highlighted the letter submitted by EGI’s counsel to the Supreme Court of India and their previous statements and letters and according to the official Twitter social media handle.
The civil society also claimed that the EGI later issued a statement appealing for crowdfunding to cover their travel expenses from Delhi to Manipur and also thanked ITLF for its donations. which they later deleted.
“After reading the report, the whole nation now calls it a fake finding report of the Editors’ Guild (Not Guild) of India. The report also clearly shows that the Indian Army influencing the world’s cheapest editor’s body of press media. There is a deep nexus between .to act beyond their ethical practices and to sponsor the narco-terrorist fund’s trip to Imphal through their narco-terrorist agencies known as ITLF media cells.
Such collusion between Indian Army, Editors Guild and Chin-Kuki narco-terrorist groups like ITLF is now beyond doubt and should be dealt with strong hands.
COCOMI cannot remain silent on these conspiracies and all the three parties should be held equally responsible for all the fake reports and bias towards Meti and the crime committed against the innocent local Meti people.
“Visit to EGI at the request/invitation of Indian Army sponsored by ITLF Media Cell Fund means that the real ghost may be some corrupt Indian Army personnel and EGI is a fund generated from New Golden Triangle in Manipur. together becomes the propaganda wing of the narco-terrorist offensive.” The release added.
Moreover, the civil society group also claimed that if the Center fails to take immediate action against all the agencies involved in the crime and the persons responsible, COCOMI has all the power to fight through the people of Manipur. There will be no other way to do it. Until people get justice.
