Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that Tripura Police’s crime branch has formed a ‘special task force’ to deal with criminal gangs and syndicates in the state.
Tripura Police is performing an important duty in protecting the society from the influence of anti-social elements and criminals.
They work tirelessly day and night to ensure the safety of citizens. The Crime Branch of the Tripura Police has formed a ‘Special Task Force’ to take action against criminal gangs and syndicates in the state,” Dr Saha said.
Dr. Saha said this today while attending the Police Day commemoration ceremony at Police Lines’ Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti Stadium in Arundhatinagar, Agartala.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister noted that October 21 is observed across the country as Police Remembrance Day, a day dedicated to paying homage to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The police should listen attentively to people’s problems and make sincere efforts to solve them. The state government is committed to a transparent policy.
So, actions should be done in a transparent manner so that people remember them in future,” stressed Dr. Saha.
