
CM Manik Saha: Tripura soon to get pink toilet for women
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on August 30, in an effort to build public washrooms for women hygiene, said that the current government has allocated funds for construction of ‘pink toilets’ in urban areas of the state this fiscal year. What is it.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this during the Rakhi Bandhan festival organized at his official residence in Agartala this morning.
“The government is fully committed to take all necessary steps to ensure strict punishment for those accused of crimes against women. All necessary steps will be taken in accordance with the law”, Dr Saha said.
Dr. Saha said that the state government is committed to empower the women of the state and make them strong in all aspects.
“As a brother, I am dedicated to ensuring the welfare of women, including providing comprehensive security and uplifting their socio-economic status. Moreover, the government is addressing these issues with utmost seriousness.
The State Government is actively promoting the economic and social development of women through the formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs). Our administration is dedicated to the empowerment of women in the state,” he said.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the all-round development of women.
“In this year’s budget, the state government has allocated funds for setting up pink toilets in urban areas, specially designed for women. These toilets are easily recognizable from a distance and have all the necessary are equipped with facilities,” the chief minister added.
