CM Manik Saha sends pineapples to Bangladesh PM Hasina :Tripura

Guwahati: CM Manik Saha sends pineapples to Bangladesh PM Hasina. Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has sent 100 cartons of 750 kg pineapple as a goodwill gift to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

At around 11 a.m. on Thursday, Annas reached the country through the Akhaura land port of Brahman Baria.

Manish Singh, attach officer of the Indian High Commission in Chittagong, received a pineapple at the Bangladesh border on the zero line between the two countries.
Pineapple was handed over by Dr. Deepak Vaidya, Assistant Director, Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation and Debashish Nandi, Tripura Port Manager.

Receiving the pineapple, Manish said that the pineapple would be delivered to the office of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through the Indian High Commission.

“We have already sent pineapples,” said Deepak, assistant director. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh sent us mangoes. We feel that the relations between the two countries are good.
He added that the pineapples were brought to Agartala from different areas including Kumarghat in Unkoti district of Tripura state through the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department under the state government’s Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

CM Manik Saha sends pineapples, A total of about 750 kg of pineapple was shipped to Bangladesh in 100 cartons. Pineapples later left Akhaura in a corvette for the Prime Minister’s Office.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had sent 800kg of mangoes as a gift to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
