AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday claimed that there is a ‘feel good’ situation in Tripura ahead of the elections and the law and order situation in the state is “fairly good”.
The CM claimed that since the BJP came to power in 2018, there have been no incidents of rape, arson, murder and any political violence in Tripura.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report, there is a good situation all around and the law and order situation is good. The law and order situation here is quite good compared to other states”, he said while flagging off the ‘Jan Viswas Rally’ (Rath Yatra) at Kumarghat in Unakoti district.
The ‘Jin Etemad’ rally flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in North Tripura’s Dharmanagar reached Kumarghat on Saturday.
“Opposition parties are creating trouble… but the law and order situation in the state is quite good and the police is showing zero tolerance against any type of crime. NCRB data shows that The situation in Tripura is good compared to other states,” said Saha.
Leader of Opposition in Tripura Assembly Manik Sarkar on Friday alleged deterioration in the law and order situation in the state.
Asserting that BJP is essential to strengthen the county, the Chief Minister said that the people of the country should be proud of a leader like Narendra Modi, who is leading the country on the path of development.
“Without any demand or protest, Modi ji has facilitated Broad Gauge Rail from Dharmanagar to Sabroom via Agartala. 11 express trains are connected from Agartala railway station. Besides, the Indo-Bangla railway link is also developing,” he said.
