Agartala: Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha has expressed confidence that the BJP will get an absolute majority in the assembly elections.
Tripura CM Manik claimed that the BJP would do better than what it had done in the previous elections.
“I am 100 percent sure that BJP will get complete majority in the elections. The party may get more seats than last time,” said the Tripura Chief Minister.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is contesting the assembly elections from Town Bordowali constituency in the state.
On Thursday morning, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha cast his vote from Tulsibati School in Agartala.
Notably, BJP is contesting on 55 seats while its ally IPFT has fielded candidates on six seats in Tripura.
The ruling BJP has fielded the highest number of women candidates in Tripura with 12.
A total of 28.13 lakh voters in Tripura, including 13.53 lakh women, will decide the fate of 259 candidates, of whom 20 are women.
