Guwahati: After nearly a year of Assam Police Sub-inspector, Junmoni Rabha’s death, her mother reportedly withdrew the case she had filed at the Jakhalabandha police station in Nagaon.
She while withdrawing the case cited that she was no longer able to pursue the case.
Case number 87/23 filed by the police officer’s mother named some top police officials who were then posted in Nagaon as suspects.
It may be mentioned that the cases related to Rabha’s death were being investigated by the CBI, it had earlier reached a conclusion that she died in an accident.
There were also not many details on what exactly happened on the night when the police official died.
Junmoni Rabha who was said to have died in the accident did not have any visible signs on her body that indicated that she died in an accident that involved a truck crashing into her vehicle.
Many top personalities also pointed out the possibility of a murder angle.
The CBI took over the case from the CID on June 14 after DGP GP Singh visited the CBI office in Delhi to discuss the case.
