Central schemes working well in Meghalaya: Union Minister Baghel
Shillong: Union Minister of State for Law, SP Singh Bagheel believes that Meghalaya is working satisfactorily on centrally sponsored schemes in the state.
Baghel, who was on a two-day visit to the state, held talks with members of the Meghalaya High Court, the Bar Association and the Shillong Bar Association.
On Wednesday, the Union Minister visited hospitals, dispensaries, juvenile homes and others during his inspection.
Speaking to media persons, Baghelsaid, “The work is fine, and the utilization certificate is also given on time. The quality of work is good. They have made further demands for pending work. Yes, Rs 16 crore was allocated by our department this year, ”said Baghel.He expressed happiness that more than Rs.700 crore has been sanctioned for state infrastructure, especially for five POCSO courts.

Baghel did not agree that POCSO cases are only growing in Meghalaya, but it is seen all over India.
He said that if we look at the FIRs registered in Meghalaya, there are not many cases of murder, robbery or theft, but most of the cases are related to POCSO or drugs.
