
BSF’s Tripura Frontier got new IG MP Gupta
Agartala: Senior IPS officer MP Gupta has taken charge as Inspector General (IG) of BSF Tripura Frontier, an official said on Thursday.
Gupta was given a guard of honor after assuming charge on Wednesday. Later, he met state chief secretary JK Sinha.
Gupta, a 1995-batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was posted as Joint Director of the BSF Academy at Takenpur in Madhya Pradesh in his last assignment.
The northeastern state shares an 856 km long border with Bangladesh.
