Nagaland: After months of patient waiting and back-channel communication, a meeting on Naga peace talks took place on April 13. The meeting was chaired by government representative AK Mishra, who mediated the talks between the government and the NSCN-IM.
According to sources, the NSCN-IM has agreed to find a solution based on the framework agreement. NSCN-IM has expressed satisfaction over the positive outcome of the meeting.
NSCN-IM General Secretary, Thuingaleng Muivah along with other members of the NSCM-IM leadership, including Rh Raising and Versus Atem, participated in the discussion.
During his visit, AK Mishra is also scheduled to meet the leaders of NNPG (Naga National Political Groups). According to sources, the timing of the meeting with the NNPGs is yet to be fixed.
