Imphal: In an effort to curb the spread of inflammatory content and false rumors through social media platforms, the Manipur government has ordered the suspension of internet and mobile data services in the state for another 5 days till June 20.
The decision comes in light of reports of incidents of violence, assaults and arson, raising concerns about possible misuse of social media to inflame public sentiment and disrupt the law and order situation.
