Manipur: According to an official order on Sunday, the Manipur government has extended the ban on internet services across the state for another five days to curb the spread of hate speech and maintain peace amid reports of sporadic incidents of violence.
The ban was first imposed on May 5 following clashes following the ‘Tribal Solidarity March’, which was organized in the hill districts to protest against the demand of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) by the Meitei community.
