Guwahati: The post-mortem report claimed that former BJP Kisan Morcha leader Indrani Tahbildar had consumed 80 sleeping pills after which she died.
Tragically, reports suggest that she fell asleep after taking sleeping pills.
It is important to highlight that the release of private photos of her with Anurag Chaliha, the main accused in her case, which were allegedly made public, caused her to suffer from severe mental disorders.
Meanwhile, Anurag Chaliha, the main accused in the Indrani Tahbildar death case, categorically denied all the allegations, claiming on August 30 that he was being unfairly used as a pawn for political purposes.
“I am being used as a political scapegoat. These allegations are completely baseless. I have never accepted any money on the pretext of a job offer,” he said while talking to reporters.
This comes as he is being shifted to the Central Jail today, following a period in police custody during which he was extensively questioned about the Tahbildar’s death.
According to reports, the investigation team has identified as many as three job seekers who are believed to have paid money for employment opportunities. The case has emerged as another thread connected to the investigation into the death of Indrani Tahbildar as the investigation unfolds.
