Kaziranga: The body of a Bengal tiger was recovered from Assam’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on Friday morning.
The carcass of a tiger was found floating in the Mora Diphlu river under the Kohora range of Assam’s Kaziranga National Park.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the tiger may have succumbed to injuries sustained during a fight with another big cat.
The tiger’s carcass was spotted by forest officials in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park.
Earlier in June last year, a decomposed body of a Royal Bengal tiger was found near Orang National Park in Assam’s Sonitpur district.
Assam forest department personnel dug up the tiger’s carcass in the area bordering Orang National Park.
