At Cannes Film Festival Andrea, Kivini Shohe to represent the state

KOHIMA: Andrea Kevichüsa Indian model-actress, and filmmaker Kevini Shohe will represent Nagaland at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, 2023, to be held from May 16-27, the state government informed on Thursday.

The two will represent the state as part of a delegation, supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, through the Department of Information and Public Relations, the nodal department for films and related matters in Nagaland.
Kivini Shohe is a prominent filmmaker from Nagaland and one of the leading filmmakers of the state and a founder member of the Film Association of Nagaland (FAN), a group of real working animation professionals based in Nagaland. Consists of people. She has been the Jury Chairperson for the 14th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala 2022 and the Jury for the 5th South Asian Film Festival, Kolkata 2022.
Shohe is a 2014 recipient of the Governor’s Award in the Arts category for Filmmaking. She is best known for her award-winning film ‘Oh My Soul’ (2014), the story of three Naga transgenders. Her subjects are mostly stories from remote regions to unspeakable places in human nature.
Her documentaries mostly cover the untold stories of eastern Nagaland such as Under the Longfuru Sky (2018) and The Great Angus (2001). He has directed short benign folk tales such as Winter Night’s Dream (Nasapa Aur Nashup) 2003 and Anishe Flower Maiden (Anishe Jhamuno) 2007. Her last movie is Even the Dead Speaks (Telefilm) 2019.
Andrea Kevichüsa is an Indian model and actor from Nagaland. She made her acting debut in 2022 with Ayushmann Khurrana in Anek for which she won the Filmfare Award 2023 for Best Debut (Female).

Kevichüsa has worked with many fashion designers and notable brands. She has also featured in editorials for magazines like Vogue India, Elle, Femina and on the covers of Filmfare, Harper’s Bazaar and Grazia.
