At Bishnupur an all girls' Sainik school will be opened soon

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has announced that a Girls Sainik School will soon be opened at Bishnupur in the state.

The Chief Minister was addressing a mega rally of ex-servicemen in Koirengei.

N Biren said that the Indian Army is the protector and they have left everything behind to protect and serve the country, including their families, and it is the responsibility of the people to honor, respect and support them.
Emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Nation First’ message, the Chief Minister said that every citizen should understand that “when the country is safe, we are safe and therefore we should always think of the nation.”
Acknowledging the strength, spirit of sacrifice, determination and faith of Manipuri women, he said that the only Sainik school for girls would soon be opened in Bishnupur.
Further recalling the sacrifices and contributions of the state’s soldiers, including the sacrifice of Major Jotin in Afghanistan and the contribution of Major Bob Khathing in nation building, the Chief Minister said that the state government has allocated Rs 3 crore for setting up a martyrs’ memorial. have done Ex-Servicemen’s office complex so that people can pay homage to the martyrs every year.
Biren also thanked Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for giving permission to hold Agnew recruitment rally in Manipur.

He also said that the state cabinet has agreed to give priority to Agniveers over their retirements during government job recruitment.
He claimed that the relationship between the people and the security forces has improved tremendously and there is harmony.

Brig Neil John, Dy GOC, 57 Mtn Div said that Manipur, a vibrant region with 2000 years of rich culture has historically been a land of valor and sacrifice. He said that the contribution of brave sons and daughters of Manipur in nation building and Indian Army is unparalleled and second to none.
Lt Gen (retd) LN Singh, serving and retired senior officers, Veer Nari and ESM were also present on the occasion.

Lt. Gen. L. N. Singh also addressed the gathering on behalf of the ex-servicemen community of Manipur, thanking the Red Shield Division.
On this occasion, Grievance Cells were set up by the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts (Pensions), Record Offices of various Regiments and Services, SPARSH & SUVIGYA Cell to ascertain the problems faced by ex-servicemen and their families and redress them. can be solved.
Information Stalls of Army Recruitment Office, ECHS Polyclinic, Director General of Resettlement, Skill Development and Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur; RSB & ZSB; UdChalo, SBI, Axis, ICICI, PNB and HDFC banks were also set up at the rally venue.
A special medical camp was organized at the rally venue with various specialists providing on-the-spot medical care and counseling to more than 1,000 ex-servicemen and war widows.

Meanwhile, as part of the ceremony, the Chief Minister also felicitated Veer women, ex-servicemen, widows and families.
