Shillong: Former Meghalaya Finance Minister AH Scott Lyngdoh died here of old age, family sources said on Wednesday. He was 93 years old.
“Bah Scott passed away last night due to old age. His last rites will take place tomorrow at Jaiaw Presbyterian Cemetery in Weiking,” a close family member told PTI.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
Scott was also a former bureaucrat and served as the Chief Secretary of Mizoram.
After his retirement in 1987, he entered electoral politics and represented the city’s Jaiaw constituency as an MLA in 1993 and 2003 and also served as the Finance Minister of Meghalaya.
