Imphal: The Alliance for Socialist Unity Kangleipak (ASUK) has hailed Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) President Late Irengbam Chaoren as an extraordinary revolutionary leader.
Apart from offering the revolutionary salute to the late revolutionary leader, ASUK constituency members namely; KCP and KYKL express their condolences on the untimely demise of Irengbam Chaoren.
A press release issued by the ASUK Publicity Committee stated that Irengbam Chaoren served as the President of the RPF for more than 30 years and also held the position of CorCom Convenor several times.
He remarked that Irengbam Chaoren was a leading leader of the independence movement of Kangleipak and a prominent revolutionary leader of the entire WESEA.
ASUK said his death is an irreparable loss not only to RPF and Kangleipak but also to WESEA.
Speaking from his experience of association with Irengbam Chaoren when he served as the first convener of CorCom, ASUK said that Irengbam Chaoren possessed many qualities and attributes that would be difficult to emulate.
Chaoren was a revolutionary leader who was always cheerful and kind to young and old, leaders and followers alike.
Despite being the leader of a large group, Chaoren never showed an egotistical attitude. Despite his vast knowledge and expertise, no one could see the slightest hint of pride or arrogance in his personality, ASUK said.
He remarked that Arengbam Chorin was always polite and courteous and that anger or bad temper seemed to be unknown to him.
“We have never heard Irengbam Chaoren speak in a strong voice or use harsh words,” ASUK said.
The late revolutionary leader always spoke softly but everything he said was very logical.
He remarked that Irengbam Chaoren was a leader who had thorough knowledge of the revolutionary principles and dynamics of the Kangleipak, WESEA and the world.
It added that for the present generation, Irengbam Chaoren was a rare and outstanding revolutionary leader and his legacy will become brighter and brighter with time.
