Assam: Wild elephant killed by train in Hojai.

A wild elephant was killed after being hit by a freight train in Assam’s Hojai district.

The incident took place late on Thursday evening.

The elephant was hit by a train when it was trying to cross the railway tracks.

The incident took place near Hawaipur in Hojai district of Assam.
An elephant collided with a train carrying cement.

After being hit by the train, the elephant fell on the railway track and died soon after.
