Assam: Summer vacation in schools to start from June 25 due to flood situation.

Education Minister Ranoj Pego on Thursday announced that the summer school holidays would start from June 25 to July 25 due to severe floods in Assam.

A notification issued by the education department said that while a number of schools have been designated as relief camps in the state, a large number of schools have also been affected and destroyed due to the floods. Academic damage has occurred, and summer vacations in all elementary, secondary, senior secondary, and higher secondary schools will start on June 25 instead of July 1.
It was said that the decision was taken to compensate for the educational loss caused by the floods.

The minister said that any examination conducted in these schools would end on June 25 and after that summer vacations would start.
