Assam: Reward of Rs 2 lakh for catching unknown hunter
Mangaldai (Assam): Assam Police on Tuesday announced a reward of Rs 200,000 for information leading to the capture of a live rhinoceros in Aurangzeb National Park.
According to an official press release, a case has been registered against the unidentified poachers at Dalgaon police station under the provisions of the Penal Code of India and the Arms Act.
It said, “The Superintendent of Police of Darang has declared an award of Rs 200,000 for the individual who will give solid data about the tracker engaged with this uncouth demonstration.”
A few days ago, miscreants entered a safe area of Orang National Park and killed a rhinoceros.
They then cut off the animal’s horns, keeping it alive.
