Guwahati: Al-Qaida, Investigation into the establishment of the Maya Museum in Assam’s Goalpara district has reportedly revealed some sensational details.
According to reports, the Assam Police has been able to trace links between the Mia Museum and terrorist outfits – Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansar-ul-Bangla Team (ABT).
AQIS and ABT reportedly funded the establishment of the Maya Museum in Assam’s Goalpara district.
Reports claim that arrested Mia Parishad president Mazhar Ali approached ABT activists for funds to set up a Mia Museum in Assam.
Notably, arrested operatives of AQIS and ABT have revealed that terrorist organizations had financed the establishment of the Mia Museum in Assam.
Mohar Ali allegedly received Rs 10,000 to 15,000 from AQIS and ABT for setting up the Mia Museum in Assam.
