Assam: Only Four Districts Affected, 17000 People Still Struggling

Guwahati: Assam: . The flood situation in Assam has improved as the number of victims as well as the affected PLACES has come down drastically.

According to the latest Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), only four districts across the state remained affected till Thursday evening.

Along with these districts, six revenue circles and 55 villages were affected.
In terms of population, the number has reached 17,213, an increase of about 800 people compared to Wednesday.

The state has also witnessed 237 hectares of crop damage till Thursday while no new deaths have been reported.
According to ASDMA, nine relief camps and two relief distribution centers are still functioning.
