Assam: PSU OIL official found dead in Duliajan

GUWAHATI: An official of PSU major Oil India Limited OIL official found dead under mysterious circumstances at his official residence at Duliajan in Upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district on Tuesday.

OIL official found dead and technical audit officer Bhaskar Bora was found on Tuesday after breaking into the locked room of his residence, a police official said.
The main door of Bora’s house was locked from outside when police and OIL officials reached his residence, the officer said.

The body has been sent to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh for post-mortem.
According to the police, there is no sign of injury on his body and the cause of his death is yet to be known.

The police have registered a case in Duliajan police station in connection with the incident and the investigation is on.
“We have registered a case of unnatural death. But preliminary investigations suggest that it is a case of suicide. We will be able to confirm only after the post-mortem report,” said the police official.
