Northeast fueling Aviation
Guwahati: Northeast fueling aviation, New flight operations in the Northeast will boost people-to-people connectivity, tourism and trade in the region.
This was said by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while attending the inauguration ceremony of flight operations by Alliance Air in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram.
As part of the new operations, Alliance Air will fly between Lilabari in Assam, Zero in Arunachal Pradesh, Shillong in Meghalaya, Imphal in Manipur and Mizoram.
Speaking on the occasion, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called it an important day as the Alliance Air Operations will “ensure greater air connectivity in the Northeast, particularly between the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Manipur.
He said, “I consider the commencement of these air operations not only as an extension of airline routes but also as a sign of the future, which will play a vital role in promoting people-to-people connectivity, tourism and trade.”
The Assam Chief Minister also said that Lilabari of Lakhimpur district is an important corridor for North Eastern states.
