Assam: Moments after getting bail, Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani re-arrested in another case

Guwahati: Assam Police on Monday evening re-captured Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani for another situation, minutes after he was allowed bail for a situation enrolled at Kokrajhar police headquarters.

Police arrested Mevani in connection with a case registered at Barpeta police station after the Kokrajhar Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court granted him bail in connection with tweets on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Congress-backed independent MLA Mevani on Wednesday night from Palanpur town of Gujarat to file First Information Report (FIR) under various provisions of IPC and IT Act on her alleged tweet at Kokrajhar police station. Was later arrested. Prime Minister.

Mevani was taken from Gujarat to Guwahati on Thursday morning and then taken by road to Kokrajhar , where he was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court, where he was remanded in police custody for three days.
