Assam: In a shocking event 13 years girl gang-raped in moving car

Kokrajhar: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by four youths in a moving car in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, police said on Thursday.

A senior police officer said the incident took place on Tuesday evening when four youths forced the girl inside the vehicle and raped her while driving on National Highway 31C.
The officer said that the four accused have been arrested.

“The area comes close to Dotma town. After receiving a tip-off, the police raided and arrested the four criminals on Wednesday evening.
A case has been registered at Dotma police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012 (POCSO).

“The accused have been produced in a Kokrajhar court and sent to three-day police remand,” the officer said.
