
Indian sites targeted by hackers
New Delhi: A hacker group from Bangladesh has targeted hundreds of state government websites across India in addition to central government servers.
According to reports Indian sites targeted by hackers, the group calling itself “Mysterious Team Bangladesh” (MTB) targeted 500 websites belonging to various ministries and government offices in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu.
The lack of data theft and negative messaging suggests the hackers were more concerned with making a statement than doing any real damage.
DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks on domains and subdomains was the attack method, which was common in previous hacking incidents.
Bengaluru-based cyber intelligence company CloudSEK has identified one of the hackers as Tasin Ahmad.

The matter came to light when an MTB member with the handle D4RK_TSN posted a post claiming to have launched an HTTP flood DDoS attack on official websites. These posts were made on Facebook, Telegram and Paste Bin.
