Guwahati: The official Twitter handle of the Directorate of Information Public Relations (DIPR), which is responsible for promoting Assam government projects, was hacked on Saturday evening.

DIPR Twitter account Hacked, The account (@diprassam) was displaying the profile picture of Michael Siler, owner of Microstrategy and cryptocurrency investor.
The account was later partially restored by IT professionals. Security features of all social media accounts are now being reviewed.

“We regret to inform you that our Twitter account (@diprassam) has been compromised. Although we have partially restored it, we would like to inform our followers to remove themselves from this account. Unfollow Tweets until we can confirm its full official restoration.
