New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has demanded a strict law against “love jihad”.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made this demand while campaigning for the municipal elections in Delhi.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “We need a law against jihad and also for a common civil code.”

Demanding a law against ” jihad”, the Assam chief minister raised the issue of Mehrauli’s gruesome murder.

“You saw a few days ago that a man Aftab cut 35 pieces of Shraddha.

The jihad we used to read about in newspapers has now reached our cities and metros,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

While campaigning for the municipal elections in Delhi, he termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia as “anti-Hindu and corrupt leaders”.
Voting for 250 wards of MCD will be held on December 4.

The results will be announced on December 7.
