Assam: Body of woman found dumped in drain in Guwahati

Guwahati: A dead body of a woman was found inside a sack thrown in a drain near Baminimaidam in Guwahati.

The police suspected the incident to be murder and upon verifying the identity, the woman was identified as Mufida Begum.

The body was found by some rag pickers in Bhaskarnagar area of ​​Bamunimaidam.
According to some locals, the woman lived in a rented house in the area with her husband Altaf Ali and their two children. He further said that she was missing for the last two days and was later found dead in the drain.
Some people even claimed that Body of woman found, the husband fled the scene along with the children.

The police have now started an investigation and the husband is being considered as the prime suspect in the case.
