DIBRUGARH: Assam: A man cut off the ears of a 16-year-old boy for having relations with his daughter. In a sensational incident, a man from Assam’s Tinsukia district tied up a teenage boy, who was in a relationship with his daughter, and beat him up before cutting off his ears.

The incident took place in Simaluguri village under Bordomsa police station in Tinsukia district of Assam.

The victim, a class 10 student, is undergoing treatment.
Doctors have stitched both his ears and his condition is said to be stable.

According to the police, the boy allegedly had a relationship with the minor daughter of the accused, which he was against.

The girl’s father – Chittaranjan Gogoi – was later arrested by the police based on an FIR lodged by the victim’s mother.
The police have registered a case under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused.

After the incident, tension spread throughout the area and the boy’s family members are demanding justice.
“If my brother was in a relationship with Chittaranjan Gogoi’s daughter, he should have informed us or told the villagers about the incident. Why did he cut off my brother’s ears and take the law into his hands? The brother has been crippled for life. We demand strict action against him,” said the victim’s brother.
