Assam: A 50-year-old woman was injured in a leopard attack in Guwahati

Guwahati: A 50-year-old woman was injured in a leopard attack in Pando area of Guwahati on Tuesday morning.

The leopard strayed from the nearby hills and came to the area and suddenly attacked the woman.

The woman has been identified as Anju Bhattacharya and has been admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

Upon receiving the information, the forest department officials reached the area and started searching for the wild cat. The leopard later calmed down.
