Assam: 6 Women Injured In Lightning Strikes In Biswanath District

All ladies were tea garden workers of Pabhoi tea garden and Majuli Garh tea nursery and lightning struck them when they were culling leaves in the nursery.

Biswanath: At least six ladies were harmed subsequent to lightning struck them in Assam’s Biswanath region on Wednesday. Purportedly, these all ladies were tea garden workers of Pabhoi tea garden and Majuli Garh tea nursery and lightning struck them when they were culling leaves in the nursery. The harmed ladies were recognized as Pinki Tasa, Lakhmi Oriya, Pomy Khadal, Momi Bhumij, Gopi Oriya, and Kumoli Khudal.

By and by, every one of the ladies are as of now going through treatment at a common medical clinic in Biswanath. Strikingly, in April this year, upwards of 18 individuals were killed because of lightning and tempests that struck various pieces of the state. While in May, a 28-year-old youth kicked the bucket subsequent to being hit by lightning at Borbaruah in upper Assam Dibrugarh. The departed have been recognized as Madhurjya Konwar, an occupant of Jamira Gohain Gaon of the Borbaruah area of Dibrugarh.
