Assam: 5 killed as speeding truck mows down 7 people in Sipajhar

Guwahati: Five individuals were killed while two others were genuinely harmed after a speeding truck stomped on over them at Sipajhar in Assam’s Darrang locale on Tuesday.

The episode occurred on NH 15 close to Sipajhar police headquarters when they were out for their morning walk.

While three individuals kicked the bucket on the spot, two others surrendered to their wounds en route to the clinic in Guwahati.

Two harmed people were raced to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in basic condition.

Three of the casualties have been distinguished as Jintumani Ahmed, Indadul Haque and Jaymati Barua, 75.

The driver and jack of all trades of the truck (no AS-11-BC-1555) escaped the spot after the mishap.
