Pathsala: Assam: 37-year-old man dies after swallowing live eel in Pathshala. A 37-year-old man died after trying to swallow a live eel fish in Pathsala town of Bajali district in lower Assam.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Pankaj Rai, a resident of Jyoti Nagar in Pathshala town.

According to reports, Pankaj tried to swallow a live fish as a stunt on Thursday.
After swallowing live eel fish, fish got stuck in his throat and it caused him difficulty breathing.

The family rushed him to Swahid Madan Rauta Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Pathshala.

After initial treatment, the hospital doctors referred him to Barpeta Medical College Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
