A video of two women paraded naked by armed miscreants in strike-hit Manipur has shocked the entire country.
Several political leaders took to social media to express shock at the complete breakdown of law and order in the state of Manipur and condemned violence against women in the state. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has also condemned the incident.

On July 19, a video of two women being allegedly gang-raped and later paraded naked went viral on social media. The video is said to have been shot on May 4, 2023, a day after the violence in Manipur.
Manipur Police said on July 19 that a case has been registered against unidentified miscreants at Nongpok Sekmai police station in Thoubal district for parading two women naked in Kangpokpi district on May 4.
According to the complaint, in relation to the incident, the alleged incident took place on May 4 in Kangpokpi district where two women were stripped naked and dragged by a mob into a paddy field.
The police have also registered a case and started investigation by going to the micro-blogging site Twitter.
