
Arunachal: Two earthquakes hit West Siang within 30 minutes

Guwahati: According to the National Center for Seismology, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake jolted Arunachal Pradesh’s West Siang district on Thursday morning.
The earthquake struck at 10.31 am at a depth of 10 km, he said.
No casualties or major damage has been reported so far. The details of the earthquake and the affected areas are still awaited.
West Siang District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) Nima Dorjee said there was no immediate report of loss of property or life.
District Information and Public Relations Officer D Ango said tremors were also felt in other parts of the state.
About 30 minutes later, a second aftershock of magnitude 3.5 was felt at around 11 am.
