KHONSA: “Parents” of Tarp district, along with various civil societies and student organisations, have come together to condemn the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee’s (PAJSC) “null and void” demand over the failed APPSC paper leak.
In a meeting held at the Circuit House here, the group discussed the line of action that should be taken to resolve the issue.
After considerable deliberation, the district’s parents and CBOs concluded that PAJSC’s “null and void” demand is monstrous, unacceptable, cruel, and repugnant in nature.
“Tirap district has historically been socially and economically backward, and only a few officials from the district have been able to crack the competitive exams. Among the more than 900 officials recruited by APPSC from 2014 to 2022, From, only 14 candidates from Tarp managed to make it to the list and all of them were deserving,” the group said in a statement.
The group has further unanimously expressed its conviction to the government, demanding that PAJSC’s “null and void” demand not be met.
They also demanded an immediate reform of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), an impartial probe into the failure of the APPSCCE, and the setting up of a fast-track court to hear paper leak cases.
The group also called for action against all sources of social media trolls who tarnish the image of genuine candidates.
“We thank all the CBOs and student unions of the district for taking a legitimate stand on the movement against the “null and void” demand of PAJSC. We hope that the government will take prompt and appropriate action to resolve the issue. will take action and bring much needed reforms in the APPSC system.
